Paris-Nice – Étape 4 : Almeida dompte Vingegaard à La Loge des Gardes

La quatrième étape de Paris-Nice 2025, marquant le premier grand rendez-vous en montagne, a offert un spectacle intense malgré des conditions climatiques difficiles qui ont entraîné une neutralisation temporaire de la course.

Longtemps, les échappés du jour ont pu croire en leurs chances, mais l’explication finale s’est jouée entre les favoris dans les trois derniers kilomètres. Lenny Martinez (Bahrain Victorious) a lancé les hostilités, forçant Jonas Vingegaard (Team Visma - Lease a Bike) à passer à l’offensive. Le double vainqueur du Tour de France a tenté de creuser l’écart, mais il n’a pas pu distancer ses rivaux.

Joao Almeida (UAE Team Emirates XRG) a su patienter avant de porter son attaque décisive dans les cent derniers mètres, laissant Vingegaard sans réponse et s’imposant avec autorité à La Loge des Gardes. Si le Danois doit se contenter de la deuxième place du jour, il endosse tout de même le maillot jaune de leader, qu’il subtilise à son coéquipier Matteo Jorgenson pour seulement cinq secondes.
