Susanne Andersen a été récompensée du formidable travail de son équipe Uno-X Mobility dans les derniers kilomètres en remportant la Ronde de Mouscron au sprint. La Norvégienne a lancé son effort tôt et a su résister au retour de Marthe Truyen (Fenix-Deceuninck), très rapide sur la ligne. La Canadienne Sarah van Dam (Ceratizit-WNT) complète le podium à la troisième place.
La fin de course a été marquée par plusieurs chutes, notamment celle de Lucinda Stewart (Liv-AlUla-Jayco Continental), victime d’une grosse cabriole à environ huit kilomètres de l’arrivée.
Les équipes Uno-X Mobility et Fenix-Deceuninck ont dominé les débats en tête de peloton dans les derniers hectomètres, à travers les routes étroites et sinueuses de la frontière entre la Flandre et la Wallonie. Elles ont parfaitement emmené leurs sprinteuses jusqu’à l’emballage final, mais c’est Andersen qui s’est montrée la plus rapide, signant à Mouscron la première victoire de sa carrière professionnelle.
