Carton plein pour Iben Rommelaere ! Le jeune Belge de la formation Dovy Keukens-FCC s’est offert la victoire de la 2e étape du Province Cycling Tour ce vendredi autour de Fléron, mais aussi tous les maillots distinctifs du classement général : leader, meilleur jeune, maillot à points.
Une victoire nette et une course maîtrisée
Dans une arrivée à trois après 146,1 km de course animés, Rommelaere s’est montré le plus rapide du trio. Il devance Arthur Tirry (RB Zelfbouw UCT) et Nathan Amerlynck (The Lead Out Cycling Academy), tous deux crédités du même temps que le vainqueur : 3h18’57”.
Le maillot jaune sur ses épaules
Grâce à ce succès, Iben Rommelaere s’empare du maillot jaune de leader, mais aussi de celui du meilleur jeune et du classement par points. Une performance exceptionnelle pour le coureur belge, qui confirme qu’il faudra compter sur lui pour la suite de l’épreuve.
