Le Français Romain Grégoire (Groupama-FDJ United) a frappé un grand coup ce jeudi lors de la deuxième étape du Tour de Suisse 2026 en s'imposant au terme des 157,7 kilomètres disputés autour de Locarno.
Dans une étape taillée pour les puncheurs, le coureur français a parfaitement géré les deux ascensions décisives du final pour s'offrir une victoire de prestige face à une concurrence particulièrement relevée.
Grégoire a devancé l'Espagnol Marcel Camprubí (Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team) et le Néerlandais Bart Lemmen (Team Visma | Lease a Bike).
Le Français confirme ainsi son excellente saison et s'affirme un peu plus comme l'un des grands talents du cyclisme mondial.
Derrière lui, plusieurs favoris du classement général ont répondu présents. Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) a terminé huitième, juste devant son coéquipier équatorien Jhonatan Narváez, tandis que Primož Roglič (Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe), Richard Carapaz (EF Education-EasyPost), Mikel Landa (Soudal Quick-Step) et Enric Mas (Movistar Team) ont également franchi la ligne au sein du groupe des favoris.
Le Tour de Suisse nouvelle formule, réduit à cinq étapes, continue déjà de livrer du spectacle avant un contre-la-montre et une dernière étape de montagne qui pourraient totalement redistribuer les cartes.
Le suspense reste entier avant les prochaines étapes décisives de cette édition 2026.
