La relève du cyclisme français brille au plus haut niveau. Ce mardi, Alexis Bouteloup, jeune espoir du Team Avesnois, a remporté au sprint la première étape du Tour de l’Abitibi U19 (épreuve de la Coupe des Nations Juniors), entre Rouyn-Noranda et Val-d'Or, au Canada.
Grâce à un travail collectif impeccable de l’équipe de France, Bouteloup a parfaitement maîtrisé l’emballage final pour s’imposer en 2h39'10", devant le Québécois Gabriel Tilli et son compatriote Simon Defrance (meilleur jeune du jour).
Cette victoire historique fait de lui le premier coureur du Team Avesnois à lever les bras sur une épreuve de la Coupe des Nations, sous les couleurs tricolores.
Maillot de leader et ambitions affichées
À l’issue de cette première journée, Alexis endosse le maillot orange de leader du général, ainsi que le maillot à pois du classement par points. Il reste six étapes pour défendre ses acquis et rêver encore plus grand.
